ACTIVE COVID-19 cases in Dagupan City again breached the century mark as five of its 31 barangays registered double-digits in their cases as of July 15.

With its 125 active cases, Dagupan is again on top of the 48 towns and cities of Pangasinan with the most number of cases. Eight active cases were logged on July 15 when three patients also recovered.

There are now 1,918 COVID-19 cases in Dagupan, while 1,707 had recovered and 89 had died.

The barangays registering the highest number of cases in Dagupan are Bonuan Boquig (27), Pantal (21), Bonuan Gueset (17), Bonuan Binloc (14) and Lucao (11).

The other cases are in Lucao (9), Tapuac (5), Salisay (4), Caranglaan, Poblacion Oeste and Tebeng (3 each); Pogo Grande (2) and one each in Bacayao Norte, Barangay 1, Carael, Herero-Perez, Lasip Chico and Mangin.

To date, twelve barangays have zero cases: Bacayao Sur, Barangay II and III, Barangay IV, Bolosan, Calmay, Lasip Grande, Lomboy, Mamalingling, Mayombo, Pogo Chico, Pugaro, Salapingao and Tambac. (Leonardo Micua)
