WITH 71 active COVID-19 cases as of June 15, Urdaneta City was moved on top of the COVID-19 watchlist of the Provincial Health Office (PHO) from among the province’s towns and cities.

But Dagupan City, an independent component city in Pangasinan, actually had the most number of active cases with 83.

The two were followed by Alaminos City with 48 and Lingayen, 41; Tayug, 38; Binmaley, 36; San Carlos City, 35;  Asingan and Calasiao, 33 each;  Bayambang, 27; Bugallon, 26; and Villasis, 25.

Anda is the only local government unit in Pangasinan that has no COVID active case.

Meanwhile, Urdaneta City Mayor Julio Parayno III reiterated his call to his constituents’ to consider the threat of COVID-19 seriously and not lightly as shown by the surge of cases in the city.

Latest data posted on June 16 in Parayno’s official Facebook page showed Urdaneta already reported 13 more active COVID cases, bringing its total to 84. (Eva Visperas)
