FOUR remote areas in Pangasinan with scarce water supply will benefit from the Patubig ng Pulis project of the Philippine National Police.

P/Brig. Gen. Emmanuel Peralta, Police Region 1 director, said the Patubig Ng Pulis (PNP) was launched to generate water supply systems and to provide access and supply of potable water in remote barangays and support additional irrigational requirements of local farmers.

The project was organized by the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 1 and Provincial Mobile Force Company.

The recipient areas in Pangasinan are Barlo in Mabini town; Zone 7, Barangay Calapugan in  Natividad town; Sitio Mantedted, Barangay San Felipe West in San Nicolas town; and Sitio Kaging Purok 7, Barangay Tambobong in Dasol town.

Meanwhile, water supply systems were already turned over to beneficiaries in La Union, Ilocos Norte and Ilocos sur.

“The installation of jetmatic water pumps and deep wells to our beneficiaries will improve production of agri products of the peaceful communities,” Peralta  said.

This program also supports the government’s campaign to End Local Communist Armed Conflict in the region.

Presently the project already lists 369 household beneficiaries and Police Regional Office 1. (Eva Visperas)
