641 new confirmed cases still outnumber recoveries
MORE RECOVERED CASES REPORTED
LAST week, 641 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were still registered, higher than the 578 patients that recovered while 23 persons still died from the disease.
Based on May 7- 13 records of the Provincial Health Office (PHO), still an average of 91 new cases are being admitted in hospitals and LGU isolation facilities or on home quarantine per day while the recoveries were pegged at 82 patients per day and the death toll was estimated at three persons per day.
Health experts attribute the continued increase in number of confirmed cases that recovered to the much-improved treatment protocol employed by the provincial government.
Meanwhile, twenty-one towns and cities led by San Carlos City with 79 cases (down from 103 last week) are still included in the COVID-19 watchlist of the PHO.
Others in watch list: Dagupan City (68), Urdaneta City (67), San Quintin (45), Burgos (35), Alaminos City (30), Malasiqui (30), Calasiao (20), Bolinao (20), Mangaldan (26), Villasis (25), Rosales (24) Asingan (24), Lingayen (23), San Fabian (19), Bayambang (15) Balungao (14), Binmaley (14), Binalonan (12), Urbiztondo (11), and Tayug (10).
