FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD Leila Jell Cano of the Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation in San Carlos City once again showcased her brilliant marksmanship skills as she garnered four gold medals during the 2nd Richfield’s Archery Cup held September 21 in Bacoor, Cavite.

Arranged by the Richfield Archery Team of Cavite, the competition aims to provide a platform for aspiring archers to display their talents and foster community and skills development.

Cano delivered a strong performance in the Open Recurve Women’s 70-meter Category and bagged two golds in Qualifying and Olympic Rounds. In her second event, Cano conquered the Recurve U18 Women’s 60-meters and earned consecutive gold podium finishes in Qualifying and Olympic Rounds.

“Her double-category dominance not only highlights her versatility, but also her consistency in training, discipline, and hard work,” head coach Federico Lopez Jr. said.

The young archer continues to hone her precision skills and is set to represent the country at the upcoming SAAC Archery Championships in Shah Alam, Malaysia on September 26 to 28. (Kim Gealogo)
