
VMUF track team shines in National PRISAA Games
MEMBERS of the Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation Track and Field team showcased their exceptional cinder path prowess when they bagged 10 gold, six silver, and seven bronze medals at the National Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) Games held last April 10 in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
The team’s gold medalists were Kent Brian Celeste (men’s high jump, triple jump, long jump), Mary Ann Delos Reyes (women’s 800m run), Cristalyn Addalino (women’s high jump), Jolo Mondero (men’s 200m run), Althea Decalcap (women’s 100m run), and Jan Delos Santos (men’s javelin throw).
In the women’s 4×100-meter relay, the quartet of Decalcap, Daniela Joy Peralta, Vier Aquino, and Mariela Dela Cruz displayed exceptional teamwork to seize the gold medal.
Silver medalists include Decalcap (women’s 200m run), Mary Roe Frias (800m mid distance run, 1500m mid distance run), Peralta (women’s 100m run).
Jessica Villar, Precious Junio, Geremae Domalanta, and Angelie Teorima formed part of the squad that secured silver in the 4×100 women’s relay while Guhan Garcia, Renier Ranges, and Angelo Muñoz duplicated the same feat in men’s 4x100m.
Among the bronze medal finishers are Jemlie Caspe (men’s javelin throw), Mary Ann Delos Reyes (women’s 400m run), Jolo Mondero (men’s 100m run, 800m mid distance run), Peralta (women’s 200m run), and Shane Carlino (400m hurdles).
