
Sison school shines in national dancesport tilt
THE Latinissimo Dancesport team of Aleandro F. Oligan National High School in Sison again proved its brilliance when it harvested five gold, one silver, and two bronze medals during the Philippine Dancesport Federation, Inc. (PDSFI) 1st Quarter National Dancesport Championships held March 22 at the Urdaneta Cultural and Sports Complex.
PDSFI is the governing body of dancesport in the Philippines recognized by the National Olympic Committee.
Latinissimo’s Lebron Dwayne Giltendez showcased his precise movements and garnered three gold medals (Solo Youth C, SD Rumba and SD Jive) and a silver medal in Solo Youth SD ChaCha.
Other gold medalists were Jimbrex Garcera and Kathleen Oligo (U21 Latin) and the pair of Almerald Lukban and Jherelyn Ovido ruled the Youth B Standard Division.
Bronze finishers were Mark Morales and Jherelyn Ovido (U21 B Standard) with Amerald Lukban and Kathleen Oligo in Inter High School Standard Division.
Training under the mentorship of coach Lucky Ubaldo, the Latinissimo Dancesport team is set to represent Region I in Palarong Pambansa slated on May 24 in Laoag City. (Kim Gealogo)
