THE Pangasinan Abono Reapers earned a semifinal berth after drubbing Biñan Tatak Gel Game X in a dominant fashion, 79-59, in the quarterfinals match of the 4th Pilipinas Super League President’s Cup last February 18, 2025 at the FilOil EcoOil Centre.

Pangasinan had a rousing start courtesy of its sharpshooting backcourts, Ralph Robin and Bong Galanza, who combined with 16 markers to tally a lead in the opening frame, 31-27.

In the second period, the Abono Reapers showcased its hounding defense, limiting the production of Tatak Gels to only nine points in the quarter.

Abono Reapers’ Michael Mabulac also asserted his dominance in the painted area with four points and for rebounds to extend Pangasinan’s lead at the half, 47-36.

In the third juncture, Biñan continued to make plays through Pamboy Raymundo’s outside jumpers and Jaymar Gimpayan’s inside scoring with four points, but these were swiftly thwarted by Jay Collado’s seven-point burst to widen the gap, 60-47.

Coasting to the final period, the Abono Reapers maintained its impressive shooting efficiency from the field with a game-high 54% against the Tatak Gels’ 34% shooting to advance in the semifinal round.

For Biñan,  Raymundo wound up 12 points, followed by the 11 points and 12 boards of Marc Pingris, a retired PBA player, who is incidentally from Pangasinan.
