Bangus Taekwondo Club bags 3 gold in nat’l championships
THE Bangus Taekwondo Club of Dagupan City put on an impressive performance when it amassed three gold and one bronze medals in the recently concluded 2024 SMART/MVPSF National Inter-School Taekwondo Championships last October 5-6 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Sanctioned by the Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA), the two-day event was participated in by 2,000 taekwondo jins from various schools and colleges across the country who competed in the category of kyorugi or sparring.
Among the winning jins of Bangus Taekwondo Club were: Princess Sarah Grace Pascual of St. Albert the Great-Dagupan (gold, Cadet Blackbelt U-168 CM), Seam Aurelio (gold, Advance I U-152 CM) and Jandy Viari (gold, Advance I U-148 CM) of St. John’s Cathedral School Inc., and Jester Harry Palisoc of Daniel Maramba National High School (bronze, Novice Bantamweight).
Mentored by head coach CJ Daroya, the team will continue to train for the Batang Pinoy slated on November 23-28 in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. (Kim Gealogo)
