UL Sprinter qualifies in PATAFA Final Relay
TWENTY-one-year-old Aris Narte of the University of Luzon displayed impressive strength to claim the eighth spot in the overall rankings of the Men’s 100-meter run Seniors to qualify in the A-1 final of the PATAFA Weekly Relay Series last September 21 at the Philsports Track Oval in Pasig City.
Competing against 43 seasoned sprinters in the country, Narte surged with a new personal best time of 11.03 seconds where he finished ahead of Jarry Ubas of Far Eastern University (11.08), and was the fourth fastest behind the top performer Anfernee Lopena of the National Team (10.73), Kent Jardin of Adamson University (10.79), and Vince Buhayan of Mapua University (10.80).
In the first round, he clocked 11.20 seconds to lead the rankings in the opening week.
