THE eldest daughter of Hendrix and Councilor Librada Reyna-Macalanda pulled a surprise in the recently concluded PSKI X Risk Karate Championship at Tiendesitas, Pasig City when she won gold medals in two events.

Hailey Fe Macalanda won the gold medal in both Kata and Kunitz in the 8-9 year old category catapulting her team to earn the first runner-up honor in the tournament.

Hailey was congratulated in a resolution sponsored jointly by Councilors Redford Erfe-Mejia, Alfie Fernandez and Marilou Fernandez and duly seconded by Councilors Celia Lim and her daughter, Irene Lim-Acosta. (Leonardo Micua)
