4,333 athletes join tryouts for Batang Pinoy, National Games ‘23
A TOTAL of 4,333 young athletes, aged 17 and under, participated in the provincial tryouts to select future representatives of Pangasinan who will see action in the Batang Pinoy and Philippine National Games .
The tryouts were held at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center Lingayen during the whole month of October under the auspices of the Provincial Community Development and Training Office (PCDTO).
The qualifying and selection process was for young athletes who demonstrated skills in 20 sporting events: Archery, Arnis, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Boxing, Chess, Cycling, Dance Sport, Futsal/Football, Swimming, Table/Lawn Tennis, Pencak Silat, Taekwondo, Sepak Takraw, Wushu and Karatedo.
The list of those who passed the try outs will be released shortly prior to the Batang Pinoy National Games slated on December 17 to 22, 2023. (Kim Gealogo)
