SP lauds VMUF athletes for outstanding performance

STUDENT athletes from the Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation (VMUF) were recognized by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) for their exceptional achievements in the recently concluded 2023 Palarong Pambansa.

Renier Ranges, an incoming Grade 12 student at VMUF in San Carlos City, received praise for winning a gold medal in the 100-meter dash and a silver medal in the 200-meter dash in the Athletic Secondary Boys category during the 2023 Palarong Pambansa held in Marikina, Metro Manila. He registered a remarkable 11.9 seconds in the 100-meter dash, with support from his coach Dante Camaso.

Authored by Third District Board Member Vici Ventanilla, who was commended as well for being cited the Asia’s Most Exemplary Leader and Man of Excellence in Public Service of the Year award in Bangkok, Thailand, on September 25, 2023.

Vice Governor Mark Lambino and provincial board members commended all student VMUF athletes that represented the 3rd District of Pangasinan that competed in the 2023 Private Schools Athletic Associations (PRISAA) national games held in Zamboanga City participated in by 6,000 athletes from 437 schools, colleges, and universities.

VMUF’s young athletes achieved success in various athletic competitions, earning gold, silver, and bronze medals in categories such as Athletics (Secondary Girls), Athletics Men (Tertiary), and Athletics Women (Tertiary). (Pangasinan PIO/CCB)
