THE Latinissimo Dancesport team from Alejandro F. Oligan National High School (AFONHS) in Sison town, emerged victorious in the Provincial Selection in Dancesport for the Youth category at the Batang Pinoy and Philippine National Games, held at the Pangasinan National High School in Lingayen on October 8, 2023.

The team’s duo, composed of Grade 11 students Jimbrex  Garcera and Syrel Mae Bocauto, showcased their dance skills in the Latin genre, featuring cha-cha, jive, and samba steps and won over seven other qualifying teams in the Latin Youth Division.

The team received official training from Crisanto Tomeldan, a renowned R1AA Dancesport coach. The two will represent the province of Pangasinan and compete on December 16 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on the inaugural event of the Philippine National Games. (Kim Gealogo)
