Marwin, 47, a businessman and a resort owner in Alaminos City, ended up first runner-up when he prevailed over his son, John Russel, 25, in their duel for second place after both carded 1573 after eight games.

Eddie Low of Singapore was the champion with an eight-game total of 1576, just three-point lead over the Santiago father-and-son.

The Santiago father and son represented the Dagupan Tenpin Bowling Association, Inc. Marwin was past president of DATBI.

The Santiagos were the only Filipinos who were in the top 20 bracket in that 15-day bowling tournament. All the other winners were Singaporeans. (Leonardo Micua)
