All sports activities banned in Sison due to rising Covid cases

SISON town’s local government suspended swimming and other form of sports in town due to an uptick in COVID-19 cases.

Mayor Danilo Uy issued Executive Order No. 64 on Monday, August 1, ordering  a suspension on all sports activities, including  swimming in private resorts, Zumba, and other physical activities until August 14.

The town has recorded 13 cases in July.

The ban is “part of the stringent health measures against the spread of the virus, in addition to the reiteration of the minimum public health standards for COVID-19”, the executive order said.

Meanwhile, Sison, through the Municipal Tourism Office, also ordered the famous Antong Falls, located at Barangay Inmalog, closed until further notice after a series of aftershocks were felt following the July 27 earthquake. (Ahikam Pasion)
