DUE to the unprecedented surge of COVID-19 in the province, Governor Amado Espino III, postponed the holding of the “Re-Introduction of Non-Contact Sports” program, a three sporting events tournament, indefinitely.

The original kick-off date was August 27 at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center gymnasium in Lingayen.

Governor Espino said the suspension had to be done to ensure the protection of participants and organizers but assured the latter that the kick-off will be scheduled once the pandemic eases.

He expressed concern about the surge of Covid cases in 10 towns and two cities. (Jesus Garcia Jr.)
