A lesson in local leadership

SP CARES: Commitment in Action

Dagupan City National High School students have successfully capped an intensive two-week Work Immersion at the Sangguniang Panlungsod. The program offered a direct apprenticeship in local governance, with students engaging in the daily functions of public service – from drafting official communications to observing policymaking sessions. This practical exposure provided a critical bridge between classroom theory and the realities of civic administration.

The initiative underscores the SP’s active role in cultivating future-ready leaders by integrating youth into the legislative workflow. More than a brief orientation, the immersion serves as a strategic investment in Dagupan’s human capital, fostering a generation that understands public service from within.
