Children’s Month kicks off in Dagupan

Dagupan City officially launched the celebration of Children’s Month with fun and entertainment activities prepared by the city government for daycare learners at the CSI Stadia on Monday afternoon, November 3.
The event featured a Mascot Parade Show that was warmly welcomed by the young learners. It also included a short storytelling session organized by the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation.
To raise awareness among children against all forms of abuse, a lecture on “Good Touch vs. Bad Touch” was also conducted under OPLAN B.I.D.A.: Batang Iwas sa Dahas at Abuso, led by the Teen Center and the City Population and Development Office.

First ever’ 2-storey, 4- clasroom building at Lasip Grande Elementary School is now ready for use
Students of Lasip Grande Elementary School can now benefit from the school’s first-ever two-storey, four-classroom building, which was officially inaugurated on Monday, November 3.
Following the directive of Mayor Belen T. Fernandez, the building is fully equipped with new desks and chairs to provide students with a comfortable and conducive learning environment.
The entire Lasip Grande Elementary School community, led by School Principal Jennifer Pulido, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the City Government for the blessing granted to their school.

Safe Assistance Family Emergency (S.A.F.E.) Center in Brgy Pantal now open
The Safe Assistance Family Emergency (S.A.F.E.) Center, the first of its kind in Dagupan City, is now ready for use following its official opening on Tuesday, October 28.
The inauguration was led by Mayor Belen T. Fernandez, Vice Mayor Dean Bryan Kua, Councilor Danee Canto, and the Barangay Council headed by Barangay Captain Julita Perez. The center aims to provide care and hope for victims of violence, disasters, and other crises.
The S.A.F.E. Center houses the Violence Against Women and Their Children (VAWC) Desk, Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (BDRRMO) Logistic Room, Finance and Procurement Section, Surveillance Room, and the barangay’s rescue vehicles.
