6 New motorboats boost safety and service for barangay islands

MAYOR Belen Fernandez and Vice Mayor BK Kua led the turnover of new motorboats for the barangays of Lomboy, Salapingao, Pugaro, Calmay, Carael, and for city use.

These motorboats will be used to ensure the safe transport of children to and from school, as well as to enable faster response during emergencies or calamities.

“Now, the island barangays have their own motorboats. FOR SAFETY, FOR SERVICE, FOR DAGUPEÑO FAMILIES,” said Mayor Belen.

With the support and swift action of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, led by Vice Mayor BK and the New Majority Council, the city was able to promptly implement projects that truly benefit the people of Dagupan.

Through the early approval of the 2026 annual budget, the local government continues its support for the barangays with the upcoming addition of ten (10) more emergency vehicles.

Aid for Barangay Bonuan Gueset

THIS Sunday, October 26, the relief operation team led by Mayor Belen T. Fernandez continued the distribution of relief assistance in Barangay Bonuan Gueset, headed by Barangay Captain Noel Bumanglag.

The relief goods distributed came from the City Government as part of its response to the basic needs of residents affected by the recent typhoon.

The distribution was carried out efficiently with the help of Vice Mayor Dean Bryan Kua, Councilor Michael Fernandez, Councilors Atty. Joey Tamayo and Tala Paras, who are all part of Team Unliserbisyo. The operation was also supported by the CDRRMO, PNP, BFP, the barangay council, and volunteers to ensure smooth implementation.

Elderly Week: Love and Joy for our grandparents in Dagupan

SENIOR citizens actively participated in the recreational activities organized by the City Government in partnership with the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) and the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), held at the Dagupan City People’s Astrodome on Tuesday, October 21.

The gathering was part of Dagupan’s participation in the 2025 National Elderly Week celebration with the theme, “Embracing Age: Living a Life with Dignity and Purpose.”

During the event, the senior citizens showcased their talents through singing and drawing. There were also board games and lectures on disaster preparedness.
