October 14, 2025. Fantastic news, Dagupeños! Our city’s 2026 budget is officially approved, and it’s a record breaker! For the first time ever, the Sangguniang Panlungsod passed the annual budget this early, with no delays or political roadblocks.
What does this mean for you and our community? It means public services, community projects, and our hardworking employees’ needs will be funded on time. No more waiting for important programs or delayed benefits. This smooth and early approval is a big WIN fort all of us, ensuring our city’s progress continues without a hitch and builds a better future for all Dagupeños.

HEROIC
A steady stream of residents, led by SP Head BK Kua, answered the call to service during the recent McDonald’s McHeroes Blood Letting activity at CSI The Citymall. The event successfully mobilized the community, with officials and citizens alike donating blood in a collective effort to bolster the local blood supply and provide a critical lifeline for patients in need.
The initiative highlighted the profound compassion inherent within our community, framing each participant as a genuine hero. By voluntarily giving “the gift of life,” Dagupeños demonstrated that everyday heroism is found in selfless acts aimed at safeguarding the well-being of others, reinforcing the city’s strong spirit of civic duty and solidarity.

HAND IN HAND
Barangay Carael. A systematic distribution of relief goods from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) was conducted, working alongside Vice Mayor BK Kua and SP Members: Councilor Michael Fernandez & Councilor Joey Tamayo, and community volunteers. The officials actively coordinated on the ground, ensuring the orderly flow of assistance and the proper allocation of essential goods to qualified beneficiaries.
The initiative highlighted both efficient local governance and the deeply rooted compassion of the Dagupeño community. The seamless collaboration between officials and residents not only provided immediate aid to families but also underscored the city’s collective spirit of solidarity, especially during times of public need.
