DCNHS NEW BUILDING INAUGURATED

THE new two-storey, six-classroom building at Dagupan City National High School was formally opened on October 6 in an inauguration ceremony led by Mayor Belen Fernandez and Vice Mayor Dean Bryan Kua.

Education is a priority sector for the Belen administration, and the construction of the new school building symbolizes hope and equal opportunities.

DSWD DISTRIBUTES FAMILY FOOD PACKS TO FLOOD-HIT FAMILIES  

MAYOR Belen Fernandez and Vice-Mayor BK Kua led the distribution of DSWD family food packs (FFPs) to families affected by the flood brought about by the combined impact of Typhoon Nando and the southwest monsoon.

The Local Government of Dagupan initiated its full-scale response on October 1, with immediate relief assistance provided by the national government following the city’s declaration of a state of calamity on September 27.

GETTING READY FOR TYPHOON PAOLO

THE City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC), led by Mayor Belen Fernandez, held a pre-disaster risk assessment meeting on the potential impact of Typhoon Paolo last week.

The meeting was intended to ensure readiness and a strategic and coordinated response plan from the different departments. Among those in attendance were representatives from the CDRRMO, PARMC, national government agencies such as the Dagupan police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Coast Guard, Navy, and the Liga ng mga Barangay.
