15 CHILD DEVELOPMENT WORKERS HONORED

FIFTEEN Child Development Center workers from different barangays were honored by the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Council during the October 13 flag-raising ceremony led by Mayor Belen Fernandez.

City Social Welfare and Development Officer Irene Ferrer presented the Certificates of Recognition to the daycare teachers for their service and contributions. The ECCD Council also gave recognition to daycare centers that complied with the required standards for Recognition that is valid for four years or until 2029.

DAGUPAN BOOSTS EARTHQUAKE PREPAREDNESS

FOLLOWING a series of earthquakes in different parts of the country over the past two weeks, the Dagupan City government is enhancing its preparedness measures by strengthening cooperation with various sectors, particularly schools, through earthquake drills and information campaigns.

Mayor Belen Fernandez emphasized the need for vigilance and coordination among all local and national agencies, the community, and teachers who are at the forefront of leading students to safety in the event of a major tremor.

P3,000 SOCIAL PENSION FOR LOLOS AND LOLAS

MAYOR Belen Fernandez thanked the national government for the continued and punctual release of the Senior Citizens’ Social Pension (SOCPEN), with the third quarter allowance distributed last week through the Federation of Senior Citizens Association of the Philippines – Dagupan Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs and the City Treasury Office.

During the distribution, an information campaign was also held to remind the city’s seniors to always be prepared for natural disasters. Members of the City Health Office were also on site to offer vital check-ups.
