
GIRL SCOUTS GET TRAINING ON CONTAINERIZED GARDENING

A HUNDRED girl scouts underwent hands-on training in containerized gardening during an activity on July 15 at the City Plaza attended by Mayor Belen T. Fernandez.
The initiative was jointly organized by the Girl Scouts of the Philippines Dagupan Council, Schools Division Office–Dagupan City led by Schools Division Superintendent and GSP Commissioner for Administration Dr. Rowena C. Banzon, and the City Agriculture Office.

MBTF INSPECTS PUGARO EVACUATION CENTER CONSTRUCTION
MAYOR BELEN T. Fernandez inspected last week the ongoing construction of the evacuation center in Barangay Pugaro to ensure its correct and on-time implementation.
The three-storey building with a roof deck will also serve as a multi-purpose community center where residents can hold various activities.
The project is part of the city government’s disaster preparedness program, which includes similar evacuation centers in Barangays Salapingao, and Bonuan Boquig, as well as the Astrodome.

NEW SCHOOL BUILDING AT LOMBOY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OPENING SOON!
MAYOR BELEN T. Fernandez visited on July 15 the newly-built school building at Lomboy Elementary School, accompanied by City Engr. Josephine Corpuz, in preparation for the structure’s official opening.
Lomboy Barangay Kap. Arsenio Santillan and Teacher Benedict Maramba personally thanked Mayor Belen for supporting their school, noting that the additional classrooms greatly benefit students.
Fernandez said the project is one of many set for implementation in line with her administration’s policy on putting education as a priority.
