
DAGUPAN CITY AGAIN AWARDED ‘BEST ENVIRONMENTAL PARTNER’

THE DEPARTMENT of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 1 office again recognized Dagupan City as the “best of the best” eco partners at the “𝗚𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗗 𝗞𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗛𝗔-𝗦𝗔𝗡” Philippine Environment Month 2025.
The award is in line with the city government’s environmental protection programs, particularly the establishment of the foreshore management plan that prohibits “untenured” or “unauthorized occupants” along the coast of Tondaligan Blue Beach, and addressing the 60-year-old garbage crisis in the city.

MBTF JOINS BBNHS NUTRITION MONTH CELEBRATION
MAYOR BELEN Fernandez joined the Nutrition Month celebration held at the Bonuan Buquig National High School last July 8, with the theme “Food at Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!”
“I ensure you my full support in all your projects here at Bonuan Buquig National High School especially in your nutrition programs,” she said during the event where she brought 40 kilos of spaghetti for the students.

BURGOS ST. DRAINAGE CONNECTION A PRIORITY FOR FLOOD MITIGATION
MAYOR BELEN Fernandez met last week with DPWH Regional Office I representatives to push for the immediate connection of the drainage structures along Burgos Street (from West Central Elementary School I to Tapuac area), the parts where road elevation projects at the central business district have been completed.
As part of the flood mitigation program during both rains and high tide, Fernandez said it is crucial to finish the work in all parts of the road, including the rehabilitation of creeks, flood gates at Careenan and Arellano, and elevation of drainage outlets.
