P100 MILLION ONE BONUAN TOURISM PAVILION SOON TO RISE

THE One Bonuan Tourism Pavilion amounting to P100 Million will soon rise at the Tondaligan Beach, Bonuan Gueset which was sponsored by Senator Risa Hontiveros.
The City Government of Dagupan, led by Mayor Belen Fernandez, held a groundbreaking ceremony of the One Bonuan Tourism Pavilion, together with Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Pangasinan District on Monday, January 27.
The local chief executive shared her plans of turning Tondaligan Beach a tourism destination, from leisure and sports activities, historical spot of Gen. Douglas MacArthur’s landing, closure of the 60-year-old dumpsite, to construction of the pavilion.
The mayor thanked Senator Hontiveros for sponsoring the project, one of the many developments for the city’s tourism.
“I’m hoping na sooner or later ma-close na ang dumpsite, at ma-present natin sa public, sa international, sa national, kung gaano kaganda ang Tondaligan Blue Beach,” said Mayor Fernandez.

Today, the city has launched the following activities: 1) Blessing of the new three-story 10 classroom school building funded by Abono Partylist thru Cong. Eskimo Estrella at the Dagupan City National High School. 2) Construction of a new three-storey, 9 school building aatNorth Central Elementary School. 3) Construction of the ‘First-Ever’ three-storey, 9 classroom school building at Mamalingling Elementary School . 4) Blessing of the First-Ever’ two-storey, 6 classroom school building in Salisay Elementary School. 5) construction of three-storey, 9 classroom school building at Pugaro Integrated School

CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION WELCOMES THE YEAR OF THE SNAKE!
DAGUPEÑOS joined the whole Filipino-Chinese Community in welcoming the Lunar New Year 2025, the Year of the Wooden Snake, starting with a motorcade along the central business district on January 28. Mayor Belen Fernandez led the celebration, along with Vice Mayor Bryan Kua, Councilor Michael Fernandez, Councilor Jigs Seen, Councilor Dennis Canto, Councilor Marcelino Fernandez, Councilor Bradley Benavides, Engr. Karlos Reyna, Atty. Joey Tamayo, Marvin Fabia, Joshua Bugayong, Danee Canto, Dr. Jalice “Jaja” Cayabyab, and Bonuan Gueset SK Chairman Tala Paras.
Traditional Lion and Dragon Dance kicked-off the celebrations during the colorful parade and a performance at the city plaza by the Dagupan Panda Lion Dragon WuShu Team. Mayor Fernandez defined the Wooden Snake as transformation and evolution which brings growth, hope, good fortune, “Yun ay tamang tama po na theme ng ating unliserbisyo.”
