UNLISERBISYO
FOR the city to operate and respond better during emergencies, the Public Alert Response Monitoring Center (PAMRC) Office which is responsible for event watching, hazard and weather monitoring, and traffic management, is now set to transfer at the 3rd floor of City Engineering Office Building, its first location.
Mayor Belen Fernandez inspected the present condition of the Command Center with PARMC Head Melykhen Bauzon yesterday, Monday, January 20, following her visit to the Teen Center.
According to the mayor, an estimated half a million pesos was used by the past administration to relocate the office at the Teen Center which was put up primarily for teens to enjoy activities and trainings such as in boxing, gymnasts, and dancing.
After the budget was approved, Mayor Belen authorized the transfer of the office to its original location, with specific instructions that the equipment should not be installed on ground floor to protect these from flooding.
The mayor also shared the importance of the Command Center which should always be reliable for all constituents in order to stay safe and updated at all times.
Aside from this, the City Government of Dagupan intensifies its effort in preparedness through the “Handa Ka Ba? Program” to ensure that everyone is equipped and able to move safely during disasters. (Dagupan CIO News)
