Celebration of the Victorio Edades Day

THE City Government of Dagupan led by Mayor Belen T. Fernandez, through the Dagupan City National High School (DCNHS) Special Arts Program (SPA) held a wreath laying ceremony to honor National Artist Victorio Edades who was born in Dagupan and dubbed as “Father of Modern Art in the Philippines,” at the DCNHS SPA Building on December 23.

Mayor Fernandez expressed her admiration to the artist for leaving a legacy that the city and its people can draw inspiration from.  “As we celebrate his legacy, let us take pride in his achievements and draw inspiration from his boldness and creativity. Victorio Edades reminds us that innovation and passion can break barriers and pave the way for progress,” said the mayor.

Meanwhile, a Grade 11 student who is taking up Humanities and Social Sciences named Anna Liza Natavio won 1st Place with P5,000 cash prize in the Victorio Edades Day Painting Contest during  the event;, Grade 7 student, Princess Catacutan from the SPA Visual Arts was 2nd Place with P4,000, and Grade 9 SPA Visual Arts student Ethan James Toledo finished with 3rd place with P3,000.

CITY DISTRIBUTES BONUS, NOCHE BUENA PACKAGES TO EMPLOYEES & VOLUNTEERS

THE Dagupan City government led by Mayor Belen  Fernandez, spread Christmas cheer through the distribution of ‘Unligayang Pamasko’ Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) to Regular Employees and Noche Buena Packages to LGU Employees and Volunteers earlier today, December 23, at the Dagupan City Plaza.  President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. issued  last December 12, Administrative Order No. 27 grants government employees of SRI amounting to 20,000 pesos for fiscal year 2024.

Ang SRI ay iuwi sa inyong pamilya, para sa inyong anak, inyong asawa at ang inyong sarili. Kailangan niyo rin bigyan ng importansya ang inyong sarili. Mag-enjoy kayo. Itong Christmas, sama-sama po kayong mag-simba, sama-sama po kayo sa Noche Buena,”  the mayor said.”

Alongside the distribution of SRI, the city also distributed Noche Buena packages to 632 Regular Employees, 485 Frontliners, 843 Barangay Volunteers, and 845 Emergency workers, as well as food packs for 2080 “Ilog ko, Irog ko” Food-for-Work Program Volunteers.

₱7,000 GRATUITY PAY NG MGA JOB ORDER EMPLOYEES, COS, APPROVED AGAD YARN!

MAYOR Belen Fernandez  thanked Local Development Council for hastily acting on her request to approve the resolution granting P7,000 gratuity pay per Administrative Order No. 28 issued by Preisdent Marcos Jr .for  Job Order Employees and with Contract of Service.

She also thanked Committee on Finance Budget and Appropriations Chair Michael Fernandez, DCPC Chair Atty. Liberato Reyna Jr., Liga ng nga Barangay President Marcelino Fernandez, City Legal Officer Atty. Aurora Valle, Chief of Staff Luz De Guzman, and members of the  Local Finance Committee. “Let us be thankful today because unlike last year, our employees will not have to wait for the month of May to celebrate Christmas!” she said.
