FAMILY PROGRAM LECTURES CONDUCTED IN BARANGAYS

MAYOR Belen T. Fernandez reported the team of lectures from the City Population Office (CPO), City Nutrition Office (CNO) at City Social Welfare and Development Office were at the Barangay Bolosan Child Development Center (CDC) last March 7 for 70 residents on nutrition education, Kalalakihang Tapat sa Responsibilidad at Obligasyon sa Pamilya (KATROPA) and Family Planning and Empowerment and Reaffirmation of Paternal Abilities Training (ERPAT). In attendance were from Cluster 1 (Mamalingling, Mangin, Salisay, Tambac, Tebeng, Bolosan) led by Punong Barangay Nancy Morris. In Cluster 2 (Barangay I, 2 & 3, Poblacion Oeste, Barangay IV, Tapuac), 59 residents attended the lectures held at the Day Care Center of Barangay 2 & 3 while 59, including immersion students from Pugaro Integrated School and St. John’s Cathedral School, participated. The lecture team was composed by City Nutrition Officer Ana Mariel Visperas, City Population Officer Malen Bernadette Pilon, May Gay Del Castillo (CNO), Jerome Espeleta (CPO), May Joy Soriano (CPO), Ma. 16,000+ DAGUPEÑOS BENEFIT FROM ALAGANG HEALTHY DAGUPEÑO
THE Alagang Healthy Dagupeño Medical and Dental Mission of Mayor Belen T. Fernandez benefitted a total of 16,023 Dagupeños in all 31 barangays as part of the city government’s efforts to bring government services closer to residents and in response to Sustainable Development Goal #3 ‘Good Health and Well-Being’ of the United Nations. From January 17, 2024 to March 6, 2024, the total number of patients served are as follows: medical check-up – 9,950; dental services – 2,124; laboratory – 2,194; pneumonia vaccine – 774; and eye check-up – 981. The total number exceeded the target recipients for the program and still does not include walk-in and Home Visit patients, according to the local chief executive as she also announced that the next round of health activity will start soon. JUSTICE SECTOR HOLD WORKSHOP TO ESTABLISH JUSTICE ZONE IN DAGUPAN
A Justice Sector Coordinating Council (JSCC) Development Planning Workshop organized by the Supreme Court, Department of Justice and the Department of the Interior and Local Government was held on March 5 at CSI Stadia. It aimed to promote a coordinated approach to the policy making, planning and operations of the legal institutions for the effective and efficient administration of justice. Mayor Belen T. Fernandez led city officials, government agency heads and department heads during the activity which was also graced by Court of Appeals Justice Ronaldo Roberto Martin. The agenda included the establishment of a Justice Zone in Dagupan to accommodate members of the local justice sector namely, judges, prosecutors, public attorneys and law enforcement officers in order to strengthen coordination between the national and local government for the administration of justice.
