FIVE non-profit Filipino-American organizations that fulfilled their role in serving mankind made the list of top organizations recently selected by the Pangasinan Brotherhood-Association-USA based in Los Angeles, California, and other associations.

They are United Specialist Healthcare Foundation (USHF), APO Global Foundation, PBA-USA, Kalayaan, Inc. and Philippine Disaster Relief Organization (PeDRO) founded by Bing dela Vega of San Carlos City.

Dan E. Nino, information officer of the Pangasinan Brotherhood Association-USA, said the five selected organizations made a dent in their humanitarian missions.

The five organizations were selected based on the meticulous review of their end of the year 2023 report that centered on several criteria like impact and diversity of programs such as livelihood and services in uplifting the well-being of under-privileged.

Nino cited the case for USHF, founded about 10 years ago, which made a big difference through its community and humanitarian projects, charity works, health, wellness and livelihood projects in the Philippines and U.S.A.

USHF founding  president and CEO is Dr. Joselito Babaran while his wife, Lucy Babaran, a registered nurse, and MBA graduate is the executive director. (Leonardo J Galvez, Sunday Punch U.S. Correspondent)
