CONSTRUCTION OF PCC PAVEMENT, DRAINAGE SYSTEM IN PAG-ASA VILLAGE BEGINS

AFTER weeks of deliberations and consultations with residents of the Pagasa Village in Barangay Pantal, the long overdue construction of the village’s road elevation and drainage system, construction of drainage system was started last Monday, January 8.  Two other projects in Barangay Pantal were also started: (1) The Upgrading of PCC pavement and drainage system in Pantal Centro, (2) the site Development of Pantal Elementary School.

Mayor Belen Fernandez assured her constituents that, “despite all the odds, sisikapin po nating patuloy na makarating ang serbisyo sa mga barangay.” Together with the mayor were Vice Mayor BK Kua, Councilor Dennis Canto, Liga ng mga Barangay President Lino Fernandez, SK Federation President Bradley Benevidez, Pantal SK Chair Jhamel Ryan Cabatbat, and Pantal Barangay Council headed by Kapitan Julie Perez who expressed full support for the implementation of the Mother and Child Hospital project. UPGRADING OF EMERGENCY RESPONSE, URGENT!

MAYOR Belen Fernandez reiterated anew the urgency to upgrade the city’s equipment for “disaster preparedness” and “emergency response” of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO). She said this was already cited in the 2023 supplemental budget but the 7 Majority councilors rejected it. She said only the dedication to duty of members of the Dagupan City Bureau of Fire Protection, Dagupan PNP, CDRRMO and Panda Fire Volunteer Brigade that helped the city’s dire situation.

She thank and honored FO2 Miles B. Salesale of Dagupan BFP, headed by F/Chief Insp. Michael Escaño, for his bravery and sacrifice to save a life. She also cited the restoration of the Emergency Response Operation Center to facilitate communication and coordinate among responders (Dagupan CIO News)

BALAY SILANGAN, SOON TO OPEN FOR REHAB OF DRUG OFFENDERS

\THE Balay Silangan in Dagupan City, reformation facility for individuals affected by illegal drug trade, will soon open its doors to provide the treatment and counseling.

Barangay officials already attended the BDCP Orientation organized by the PDEA Provincial Office, headed by Provincial Director Retchie Camacho, DILG Dagupan CLGOO Royolita Rosario, Dagupan PN under P/LtCol Brendon Palisoc, and the City Social Welfare and Development Office. The city government will  prioritize the support needed by the facility to ensure the success of the anti-drug campaign in the city. (Dagupan CIO News)
