TWO hundred children in Sitio Japan, Bonuan Binloc were served a nutritious meal during the #GoodbyeGutom Zero Hunger in Dagupan last week.

Together with the Binloc Barangay Council led by Kap Wilmer Castañares and SK officials led by Chairman Klee Alcaide, the city government’s feeding program taught the children “healthy eating habits”, from eating at the right time to creating awareness about the importance of eating nutritious food.

The barangay council thanked CSI GROUP OF COMPANIES for the apples and macaroni, Pascual Laboratories Poten-Cee, Enfamama for pregnant and breastfeeding mom, TOP Cafe Premium Coffee Blend, Lifebouy anti-bacterial soap, and Close-up toothpaste, City Nutrition Office for the all-time fave chicken tinola with papaya and rice and to our ‘You’re the Apple of My Eye” program.

BATANG MCDO DISTRIBUTES GIFTS TO SENIOR CITIZENS

BASKETFUL of assorted food items and McDonald’s snacks were served to elderly Dagupeños during a gift-giving project of McDonald’s Dagupan on December 15 at the City Plaza as part of the 10th year anniversary celebration of Batang McDo. Mayor Belen Fernandez acknowledged the famous food chain’s corporate social responsibility in giving back to the community that continues to patronize their products.

HONEST TRICYCLE DRIVER FROM AMADO-TAPUAC HAILED AS ROLE MODEL

A TRICYCLE driver’s honestly harvested admiration not only from city residents but from the city government.  Mayor Belen T. Fernandez praised Jay Resuello, 50 years old from Barangay Amado-Tapuac and a member of the Dagupan City National High School Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (DCNHS-TODA) for being honest and hailed him as a good model and example for all tricycle drivers.

Resuello was rewarded with a free tricycle franchise and a gift check during the KATROPA Assembly and Year-End Socialization last December 15 held at the sa Abong na Alumni of DCNHS and P5,000 worth of gift check.

Resuello made an effort to return a wallet that contained P14,500 that was left by his passengers whom he identified  from their identification cards: Jeanky Español of Guibang Street, Pantal and Jeson Español of Bangusville Red Cross, Bonuan Gueset.

The occasion for honoring Resuello was during KATROPA o samahan ng mga Kalalakihang Tapat sa Responsibilidad at Obligasyon sa Pamilya affair because the organization’s purpose is to promote family planning, responsible parenthood, anti-violence against women and children, gender equality, adolescent health and livelihood.
