MAYOR Belen Fernandez recently signed the program of work for the upgrading of Herrero Street (back of SM Phase 1 and 2) as part of the flood mitigation project that was included in the 2023 budget but initially blocked by the 7 majority councilors. She thanked Vice Mayor Bryan Kua and members of the minority bloc who never stopped fighting for the passage of the annual budget until they won. She also announced the December groundbreaking for the gym in Bolosan, elevation of Lasip Grande and construction of school buildings for DCNHS, Malued and Lomboy. (Dagupan CIO News)

HAPPY NATIONAL CHILDREN’S MONTH TO ALL YOUNG CITIZENS!
IN celebrating 31st National Children’s Month this month of November that has a theme “Healthy, Nourished, Sheltered: Ensuring the Right to Life for All!” Mayor Belen Fernandez said the city government has not failed to educate the city’s youth about their rights to good health, education and safe and secure environment. Among the regular activities for the youth is the Annual Children’s Summit in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations, ‘#GoodbyeGutom tungo sa ZERO Hunger’ in Dagupan, the scholarship program and Manlingkor ya Kalangweran (MYK), an experience and exposure for high school students to local governance.

DOLE’S TUPAD PROGRAM BENEFITS 773 DAGUPENOS
MAYOR Belen Fernandez expressed the city government’s gratitude to Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Senators Joel Villanueva and Senator Loren Legarda for the implementation of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Displaced/Disadvantaged workers (TUPAD) in the city. The most recent beneficiaries were 773 boatmen, vendors, fishermen, and jeepney drivers who received P4,000 for a ten days work of community service under the supervision of the city’s Public Employment Services Office (PESO) headed by PESO Manager Joy Siapno.
