DAGUPAN CITY, PILOT AREA FOR LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT INFO SYSTEM
THE Department of Health, in partnership with the US Agency for International Development in Medicines, Technologies, and Pharmaceutical Services (eLMIS) selected the Dagupan City government as the pilot area in the region for the Electronic Logistics Management Informative System (eLMIS).
The eLMIS is an integrated software solution for a more effective distribution, stock allocation, inventory control, and warehouse administration of medicines, vaccines, and other medical supplies. The digitized and centralized inventory, facilitates the distribution of supplies nationwide from DOH warehouses/hubs down to the LGU health centers.
The system is expected to eliminate shortages and oversupply of stocks of medicines and vaccines. The City Health Office started training for the new system for the benefit of Dagupeños. (Dagupan CIO News)

VICE MAYOR BRYAN KUA REPRESENTING MAYOR BELEN, CITES DEDICATION OF BHWs
VICE MAYOR Bryan Kua praises the dedication and commitment of Barangay Health Workers to improve the health of residents in their respective areas. He took the opportunity to cite their performance during the rollout of the Updated BHW Manual in cooperation with the Department of Health (DOH) Regional Office 1 as partners in the implementation of the Universal Health Care.
Vice Mayor Kua also cited the acknowledgment of Asst. Regional Director Dr. Rodolfo Albornoz of the city’s BHWs who succeeded in accomplishing 101.22% rate of performance in the MR-OPV Supplemental Immunization Activity. Dr. Albornoz announced the joint memorandum between DILG and DOH for the retention and continuous services of BHWs for the “uninterrupted delivery of primary care services” to communities. The 3-day activity for the BHWs was organized by City Health Officer Dr. Ophelia Rivera, and also attended by DOH Provincial Team Leader Dr. Veronica de Guzman, DOH-CHD Dagupan HEAD Dr. Amadeo Zarate, and BHW Regional Coordinator Maria Lourdes Ducusin.

ANOTHER 120-DAY SUPPLEMENTARY FEEDING FOR PUPILS
MORE than 2,000 pupils at the Child Development Centers (CDC) in Dagupan will be the main beneficiaries of the 120-day Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) as added support to the ongoing feeding and nutritional programs launched by Mayor Belen Fernandez.
Acting City Mayor BK Kua and CSWD and Child Development Workers (CDWs) in the city received the first batch of food items last week as part of the 13th cycle of the SFP for 46 day care centers. The supplementary feeding features non-perishable fortified foods, from macaroni pasta with sauce, bihon, whole grain cereal, oatmeal, evaporated filled milk, pineapple tidbits, yogurt drink, choco-powdered drink, apple, pears, nutribun, white bread, sandwich spread, to canned tuna flakes in vegetable oil, veggie noodles, etc..
