4Ps MEMBERS TO ACTIVELY PARTICIPATE IN CITY PROGRAMS

PANTAWID Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) members in Dagupan City will begin to be  actively involved in community development programs. This was the decision reached in a council meeting presided by Mayor Belen Fernandez, attended by officials of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office I (DSWD-FOI), City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and concerned departments last July 17, 2023.

The 4Ps members will start establishing their community garden composed of vegetables, fruits and mudfish (hito) for propagation to serve as sustainable food source as part of the food sustainability program of both national and local governments in coordination with the City Agriculture Office.

Successful 4Ps micro-enterprise owners in identified barangays involved in bangus processing, oyster-growing, talipapa business, canteen/eateries and sari-sari stores, will be interviewed by DSWD participants during a roll-out training on the new Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) Guidelines from July 18-21 as part of the implementation of the Revised Guidelines for the Comprehensive Implementation of the SLP.  (Dagupan CIO News)
