THE Dagupan City government reached an understanding with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Office of Public and Cultural Diplomacy for the promotion of Bangus Festival. Specifically, DFA will arrange visits and arrivals of foreign ambassadors to the Philippines   so they can be more informed about the festival for the benefit of their citizens who visit the country. The  meeting with DF Assistant Secretary Arvin de Leon was attended by Assistant Director Emmylou Felimar, Technical Manager Eric Co, Dr. Felisa & Anthony Sua, Admin Officers Ethel May Castillo and Ma. “KAHIT BILANGGO, SIEMPRE MAY PAG-ASA!” – MBTF

TEN Dagupeños Persons Deprived of Liberty o PDL are being assisted by the “Kolehiyo sa Piitan, Tungo sa Tunay na Pagbabago Hawak-Kamay Assistance” program launched by Dagupan City government, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Dagupan and PHINMA-University of Pangasinan. The first ten beneficiaries, children of PDL, received scholarship from the city government, are given the choice of courses they desire. “Ang makapagtapos ng pag-aaral ang mga PDL sa ganito kahirap na sitwasyon ng kanilang buhay ay malaking achievement para sa kanila, dahil maaari nila itong magamit upang makapag-simula muli at magtagumpay,” said Mayor Belen Fernandez.

FREE CT SCAN FOR INDIGENT DAGUPEÑOS

SINCE the arrival and installation of the computerized tomography or CT SCAN from the Department of Health (DOH), Mayor Belen Fernandez announced the free “unliserbisyo” for the use of the CT SCAN at the Dagupan City Diagnostic Center for indigent residents, like the Electrocardiogram (ECG), Ultrasound at X-ray for indigent residents.  “Alam natin na napaka mahal magpa CT scan… makakatulong po ito lalo na sa mga mahihirap,” the mayor said. The city government received its License to Operate last, March 9, from DOH and  Food & Drug Administration (FDA).  According to Dra. Ophelia Rivera, City Health Officer, indigent patients can register with CHO, Mondays-Fridays 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with requests from their doctors. (Dagupan CIO News)
