5,575 INDIGENT SENIOR CITIZENS RECEIVE DSWD SOCIAL PENSION

CITY Mayor Balen Fernandez expressed her elation on seeing the smiles on the faces of the 5,575 indigent senior citizens in Dagupan after receiving their P3,000 cash from the national government intended for the January-June period. “Makakaliket ak kasi anengneng ko kayo lamet ya aka imis,” she said. The mayor then took time to listen to personal tips of the indigent elderlies how the city can help them remain healthy and active as she reminded them of the free medical services available to them at the Diagnostic Center – free x-ray, ultrasound, and CT scan. The four-day pay-out were held at the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs and City Social Welfare and Development Office. (Dagupan CIO News)

DAGUPAN PESO RECEIVES TOP PERFORMING AWARD FROM DOLE

THE Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in Dagupan City was cited as Top Performing PESO under the city category for its institutionalized Barangay Employment Service Offices (BESOs) during the Regional PESO Congress 2023 Sikat Peso Awards held by the Department of Labor and Employment Region 1 (DOLE RO1) last March 9 in Tagaytay City. Dagupan PESO registered the highest number 11 job fairs, the highest in the region in 2022 that enabled 3,691 registered jobseekers to be hired on the spot. Dagupan PESO Manager Jocelyn Siapno, representing Mayor Belen Fernandez, received the awards and conveyed the mayor’s gratitude for the recognition of the  productive services PESO Dagupan extends to the public . BE A HERO, DONATE BLOOD, SAVE LIVES!

CITY Mayor Belen Fernandez urged more Dagupeños to join the #BeAHERO movement and donate blood during the bloodletting activity last week at the CSI Mall Atrium in Barangay Lucao.  The mayor made the appeal during the event organized by the City Health Office in partnership with Region 1 Medical Center and CSI Group of Companies to sustain the supply of blood at the  R1MC. One of the first time donors was Jolina C. Joves who said she was motivated to donate after her family experienced difficulty in sourcing blood for her ailing father. (Dagupan CIO News)
