CLEAR THE BAYWALK ASAP!
TO enable residents to resume their daily activities at the baywalk at the Tonadaligan Beach, Mayor Belen T. Fernandez orders the immediate clean-up and restoration of the baywalk to its original state on seeing the baywalk covered by beach sand during her inspection trip in the area to assess the damage caused by Typhoon Paeng.

“IT’S about time we go digital and go for cashless transactions” was the immediate reaction of Mayor Belen T. Fernandez to the presentation on the Paleng-QR Ph’s program for the benefit of market vendors, storeowners, jeepney and tricycle operators by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Northern Luzon Regional Office headed by Regional Director Noel Niel Malimban .
Paleng-QR Ph is a program developed by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) to promote digital payments or accepting payments for services via smartphones by using QR Ph, the national QR code standard for digital payments.
With the mayor at the presentation were City Legal Officer Aurora Valle, Randolf Ubando, ang OIC sa City Treasury Office (CTO), Jovita Narvasa at Federico Sabado ng CTO-Market Division, Angelinda Ngilay, ang OIC ng One Stop Business Center, and POSO Chief Arvin Decano to watch the presentation.
“Pag nag-digital payment, di na kailangan mag-withdraw, magbitbit at magbayad gamit ang cash na sya ring makakatulong upang makaiwas sa mga posibleng panganib na pangkalusugan at iba pa,” the mayor said.

MARY Ann Delos Santos, 39, married with two children and a resident of Sitio Korea, Barangay Bonuan Binloc, who worked as domestic helper overseas in Riyadh, visited Mayor Belen T. Fernandez to thank her for looking into her case immediately after she cried for help from the government.
She cited the mayor’s help that enabled her to return to her family last October 18, 2022.
“iIan si Mayor sa mga agarang tumulong sa akin upang mapauwi ako sa Pilipinas sa lalong madaling panahon,” Mrs. Delos Santos said.
