THE demolition and removal of illegal fish pens and cages in the city’s rivers by the Task Force Bantay Ilog have started last week after notices of violation and demolition were served to owners and operators. The demolition crew was accompanied by City Agriculture Office, Dagupan CDRMMO, PNP Dagupan and Coast Guard. (Dagupan CIO News)

PTA CONVERGENCE IN DAGUPAN CITY

THE importance and significance of the role of the Parents-Teachers Associations (PTA) in Dagupan City was highlighted by Mayor Belen Fernandez as partners of the city government and the DepEd Dagupan during the relaunching of the PTA Convergence during the summit meeting. The PTAs and school principals of the schools in the city presented their priority programs and projects requiring support from the city government.  “Through the PTAs, there’s a greater communication between home and school, as far as your children’s education is concerned, and it enables parents to have a voice as well in decision-making”, said Mayor Belen.  At the  relaunch were CHO doctors and nurses led by Dr. Ophelia Rivera, DepEd Dagupan Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Marciano Soriano Jr., and Federated PTA officers led by DFPTA President Gerry Pradez. ANTI-DENGUE MISTING OPERATION.

MAYOR Belen Fernandez directed the City Health Office (CHO) to continue  misting operations in barangays for the protection of schools against dengue. Last week, CHO personnel continued misting operations in in Barangay 1 and Barangay Bonuan Gueset.
