The Provincial Government of Pangasinan under the watch of Governor Amado ‘Pogi’ I. Espino III held a Golden Rice Stakeholders’ Engagement Activities on May 16, at the Capitol Resort Hotel in Lingayen. Nutrition information, such as malnutrition and obesity rates in Region 1, and current updates on golden rice deployment in the region were among the subjects discussed. A technical briefing and orientation on golden rice seed cultivation in Pangasinan was also provided. The goal of the program is to raise awareness about the importance of having golden rice in the province.
