LGU-Pangasinan to receive various equipment from DOH CHD-1 for PPH & MCH

The Governor Amado I. Espino III will enter into and sign Deeds of Donation and receive various equipment from the Department of Health-Center for Health Development 1 (DOH CHD 1) for the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital (PPH) and Manaoag Community Hospital.

This developed after the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) in its regular session on May 23, approved two resolutions which were both authored by SP Member Jeremy Agerico B. Rosario.

In the Deed of the Donation it was noted that the following equipment will be donated by the DOH CHD1 to the PPH in San Carlos City: cardiac monitor, defibrillator with monitor, oxygen tanks, pulse oximeters, handheld pulse oximeters, oxygen therapy sets and oxygen concentrators.

Hence, the Manaoag Community Hospital will receive one unit each of the following equipment:  mechanical bed 3 cranks, biological refrigerator, and automated external defibrillator.

As stated in both the resolutions, “the Department of Health (DOH) is the principal agency of the government which consistently contributes to the upgrading of medical and health care facilities and has manifested its desire to further augment its support to the Provincial Government of Pangasinan’s health care program through the Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP).”

HFEP serves as the national government’s vehicle by which public health care faciliries receive assistance for infrastructure improvement and equipment upgrade.

“The equipment can be used by the Province to cater and respond immediately to the health necessities of the people especially in times of calamities and emergencies,” the resolutions disclosed. /Ruby R. Bernardino
