Prov’l Gov’t stages Abig Pangasinan Karaban in Pozorrubio, Aguilar

The Provincial Government of Pangasinan spearheaded by Governor Amado “Pogi” I. Espino III staged the Abig Pangasinan Karaban in Barangay Rosario in Pozorrubio on March 12 and Barangay Baybay in Aguilar on March 16 bringing the services of various offices and departments to Pangasinenses.

“Communication at information ang pinakamagandang paraan upang maiparating ninyo sa inyong mga kababayan, kamag-anak, o kaibigan na mayroon tayong ganitong programa na dala ng pamahalaang panlalawigan. ‘Yun lamang po ang tanging hiling ko sa inyong lahat”. said Governor Espino in his message.

Governor Espino reminded Pangasinenses to always stay safe and vigilant amidst the pandemic. He also thanked the residents for their cooperation in fighting the pandemic and for their full support to the Abig Pangasinan program.

“Kami po ay lubos na nagpapasalamat dahil andito po kayong lahat para sumuporta sa Abig Pangasinan na programa ng ating probinsya. Naririto sa inyong bayan ang Abig Pangasinan upang magbigay ng mga libreng serbisyo tulad ng Abig Laman o Kalusugan Karaban na makakatulong po para sa mga may sakit,” Governor Espino added.

The Abig Pangasinan, a brainchild project of Governor Espino, is a mobile economic recovery program of the Provincial Government of Pangasinan, which aims to uplift the lives of Pangasinenses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Through the Abig Pangasinan Karaban, services of the Provincial Government are brought closer to Pangasinenses.

During the two Abig Pangasinan stops, a total of 1193 medical consultations,652 laboratory services, 111 x-ray services, and 142 ECG tests were recorded from the Abig Laman ed barangay

Under the Palengke Karaban, the Provincial Government purchased products worth P116,782 sold by 51 participating Pozorrubio vendors and are brought to the 14-government run hospitals to be prepared as meals for patients.

Cash pay-out were also awarded to 30 beneficiaries of the Karagdagang Pangkabuhayan or Cash-for-work program.

A total of 49 farmer and fisherfolk associations received inputs including fruit bearing tree seedlings, vegetable seedlings, waterpumps, knapsack sprayers and tilapia fingerlings.

Under the Kalinisan Karaban, P433,280 worth of groceries were redeemed by Pangasinenses after exchanging 21,652 kilos of collected plastic waste in the Kalinisan Karaban mobile store.

Some 163 animals also received free animal health services such as vitamin administration and anti-rabies vaccination.

Meanwhile, a total of 187 individuals and 15 associations were assessed and interviewed for the Provincial Livelihood Assistance Program and Tulong sa Pagsasanay at Trabaho.

Barangay Rosario in Pozorrubio on March 12 and Barangay Baybay both received one unit of grass cutter each for the environment protection program.

The Provincial Government will continue to conduct the Abig Pangasinan to reach more Pangasinenses in the province. /CIVT
