Manaoag students cited for wins in International Robot Olympiad
THE Sangguniang Panlalawigan has commended the student robotics team of Manaoag National High School for winning four major awards at the Fibonacci International Robot Olympiad World Championship 2025 held in Rome, Italy.
The resolution, sponsored by 4th District Board Member Jerry Agerico Rosario, was approved during the SP’s regular session on Monday, December 1. Representing the Philippines, the students outperformed 27 contenders from various countries, showcasing advanced skills in innovation, problem-solving, and robotics engineering.
Honored were Raejann Zyle Castillo Figuerres, Ryne Dannielle Frianeza Santos, Joesher Tabilin Caspillan, Francine Verano Opiana, and AJ Mejia Ramos. They bagged the following awards: 1st Place – Autonomous Drone, 2nd Place – Drone Rally, 2nd Place – Mini Sumobot, 3rd Place – Mega Sumobot, and the Jury Award – Line Tracing.
The resolution cited not only the team’s commitment to excellence but also the guidance of their coach, Hazel Elaine Armas, Head Teacher Manuel Jaime Vinuya, and Principal Dr. Daisy Mayola.
“Through their determination and mastery of skills, these young students not only achieved personal success but also brought pride to Pangasinan and the Philippines,” the SP stated.
The provincial board formally congratulated the winners, stressing that their achievement raises the bar for academic and technological excellence in the province. (Eva Visperas)
