Veteran broadcaster ‘Tita Annie’ signs off

VETERAN radio broadcaster Liwanag M. Daoana, known for her alias “Tita Annie” died on Thursday, November 13.

She was found dead in her boarding house along Amado-Tapuac Road in Dagupan City.

Police are currently investigating the cause of her death.

Since the death of her only son, Jay in 2019, she has been living alone.

Tita Annie has been one of the prominent figures in Pangasinan broadcast industry. She managed radio station DZRD 981AM (now Sonshine Radio), and brought her broadcasting stint to Aksyon Radyo Pangasinan DWCM 1161AM.

Her trademark radio personality program, Dear Tita Annie, brought about messages about faith, life, and love.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Tita Annie returned to DZRD where her career eventually ended.
