SOME 70 doctors and nurses from the St. Francis and Claire Foundation USA, headed by its president Joel Diaz, will conduct a medical mission in Dagupan City in January 2026.

Mayor Belen Fernandez, who is currently in the United States on official travel, announced the development after meeting with the foundation’s officers in California and finalizing the arrangements.

The foundation, working with doctors and nurses from the Dagupan City Health Office led by Dr. Josefina de Venecia, aims to serve at least 5,000 Dagupenos during the weeklong activity.

The medical team will perform minor operations, including local excision and incision, circumcision, dental cleaning, extraction, filling, and other complete dental procedures. Services in pediatrics, adult and elderly care, optometry, and ophthalmology will also be offered, along with the distribution of free medicines, crutches, and wheelchairs.

The medical mission will be held at the Dagupan People’s Astrodome. (Leonardo Micua)
