Vasandani couple commended for Asia Pacific award
RECOGNITION OF THEIR PHILANTHROPIC WORK
A resolution was passed by the Dagupan Sangguniang Panlungsod commending Dr. Ashok G. Vansandani and his wife, Kanchan, for being honored at the 10th Asia Pacific Luminare Awards, also known as the Golden Eagle Awards 2025, for their exemplary humanitarian service and philanthropic work that have greatly benefited the people of the city.
Now in its 10th year, the Asia Pacific Luminere Awards stands as one of the Region’s distinguished recognition platforms, honoring men and women across Asia Pacific who have excelled in their fields and contributed significantly to the advancement of society through leadership, service, and excellence.
Authored by Councilors Michael Fernandez and Marvin Fabia, the resolution stated that the prestigious Golden Eagle Awards 2025, with the theme “Your Time to Shine”, was held on August 23 in Pasay City, Metro Manila, with the mission of celebrating individuals whose outstanding achievements and humanitarian contributions uplift the lives and inspire communities.
The Vasandani couple, philanthropists and respected community leaders of Dagupan, were recognized for their unrelenting dedication to humanitarian service and philanthropy, which has touched the lives of countless families, particularly during times of crisis and calamity.
They have consistently extended aid in the form of essential goods, rice distributions, blankets, and relief assistance to underprivileged families, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups in Dagupan City and beyond.
According to the resolution, the recognition of Dr. Ashok and Kanchan Vasandani is not only a personal milestone but also a source of pride for the City of Dagupan, reaffirming the values of bayanihan, selflessness, and service to others. (Leonardo Micua)
