28 Dagupan scholars graduate with Latin honors
TWENTY-EIGHT scholars of the Dagupan City government graduated with Latin honors, nine of them magna cum laude and 19 others cum laude.
Mayor Belen Fernandez announced on September 20 when she, Vice Mayor Bryan Kua and Councilor Michael Fernandez distributed financial incentives for 1,048 qualified renewed scholars of Dagupan.
There used to be 5,000 original scholars since Fernandez began her new term in July 2022, but the number increased to about 6,000 through an ordinance passed by the Sangguniang Panlungsod late last year.
“Our youths never fail to amaze me sa kanilang likas na galing, and what I really admire about them is that no matter what storm and challenges hit, they remain hopeful and hard working,” she said.
The scholars who graduated magna cum laude were:
