MORE than 100 students from across the globe took part in the PRIME Camp 2025 Cultural and Heritage Tour held recently, exploring key historical sites in the provinces of Ilocos Sur and La Union.

Organized by the Pangasinan State University (PSU) for its first-ever international cultural exchange, the tour aimed to immerse campers in the Philippines’ regional heritage through site visits and local experiences.

“Our goal is to promote cultural understanding by showcasing the richness of our local communities,” said PSU President Dr. Elbert Galas.

The tour included a visit to a grape farm and loom weaving site in La Union, giving campers hands-on exposure to traditional industries. In Ilocos Sur, they toured the Vigan Museum and strolled through the iconic Calle Crisologo in the Vigan Heritage Village.

“It’s an impressive experience,” shared Hang Le, a camper from Vietnam, adding that, “You really feel the artists’ passion.”

The PSU’s Office of the Vice President for Linkages and International Affairs said the activity represents the university’s commitment to regional and global engagement. (Eva Visperas)
