36 Dagupan scholars pass professional exams

MORE scholars of the Dagupan City government are now registered nurses, medical technologists, engineers, criminologists, and teachers after passing their respective licensure exams, all of which are first-takes.

Mayor Belen Fernandez expressed deep pride when they called on her during a program after the flag-raising ceremony last June 2 at the Dagupan City Plaza.

“Their successes were the result of our perseverance towards the youth. They made us truly proud,” she said, noting that scholars from a poor background can now start working and help their families.

The city currently maintains 5,000 scholars annually with a budget of P200 million per year.

The scholars were led by Laien Leewen del Rosario of PHINMA-RENT, in the top five in the recent nurse licensure examination. She passed the examination  along with classmates Rhee Mea Mendoza of Bacayao Norte, Mae Balbuena of Barangay II and III, Pamela Shayne Buccat of Barangay II and III, JZ Patricia Deocarez, Barangay II and III;
