Bayambang holds ‘toothbrushing marathon’
ORAL HEALTH MONTH CELEBRATION
THE local government of Bayambang conducted a “Toothbrushing Marathon” as part of the celebration of the National Oral Health Month last February 3 to promote dental health care among residents.
Some 3,670 individuals, including teachers, students, local government employees, parents and senior citizens took part in the activity.
Dr. Dave Junio, Municipal Health Dentist II, led the dissemination of information on oral and dental hygiene from proper brushing techniques to importance of regular dental visits.
“This activity seeks to create more awareness among the youth on the importance of proper dental care to prevent tooth decay and other oral health problems,” he said.
Other activities of the program included Zumba Dance competition and Float Parade competition wherein Child Day-Care Center Cluster 2 claimed the Best Float title. (Kim Gealogo)
